The treatment applied in Hyperbaric Medicine (HBOT) consists of the administration of 100% oxygen in a Hyperbaric Chamber at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. According to the European Consensus Conference on Hyperbaric Medicine, HBOT must be administered at a minimum pressure of 2 ATAs.
